Annual Christmas Caroling!!!

Our Annual Christmas Caroling came again!  This year we gave a bag of cookies, candy canes, and oranges.  We shared the story of the Christmas orange.  This is where on year a long time ago there

was an orphanage and every year for Christmas they would look forward to their one and only Christmas gift- their Christmas orange!!!  Their care taker was VERY strict and fussy.  When all the children came in from outside little Jacks shoes tracked in mud and his punishment was the loss of his orange.  Christmas morning came and all the children were happy and filling the halls with giggles and their oranges were their prize positions. Everyone was up and about except for little Jack.  He remained in bed sobbing knowing he had lost the opportunity to his orange and any joy of Christmas morning.  Laying there all alone, Jack tried to remember the REAL meaning of CHRISTmas.  At that moment he heard a noise at the door.  Before he knew it he felt something a little wet and squishy quickly placed in his hand and just as quickly they were back out the door.  Jack sat up and looked down at his hand.  There in the palm of his hand he found someone had place a carefully unpeeled orange 10 separate pieces of orange pieced together to make one orange!  Each child had sacrificed a piece of their own prize to give to Jack.  Christmas was still to be for Jack.  Forgiveness and the love of Christ is still there for all!!!  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!
