Putting on the Armor of God!

D&C 27:15 "Wherefore, lift up your hearts and rejoice, and gird up your loins, and take upon you my whole armor, that ye may be able to withstand the evil day, having done all, that ye may be able to stand.
16 Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, which I have sent mine angels to commit unto you;
17 Taking the shield of faith wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked;
18 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of my Spirit, which I will pour out upon you, and my word which I reveal unto you, and be agreed as touching all things whatsoever ye ask of me, and be faithful until I come, and ye shall be caught up, that where I am ye shall be also. Amen."

(that I watched when I was your age!!-lol!)

Special thanks to Dylan for helping me

"Armor of God" on Sunday!

TaCkY dAnCe!!!

The youth had SOOOOO MUCH FUN at this months stake dance!  The theme was a TACKY DANCE!  They had a friend who owes half of the Canton Trades Day pavilions and asked to use one that was two stories high.  It was awesome the way they had it set up with the dance upstairs and the food and games down stairs so every one could watch the games from up high!  Lots of youth came dressed "tacky".  They played lots of silly tacky games!  They went all out and served chili cheese hot dogs, chips, and all sorts of desserts!

These two were each others "LIFE SAVOR" when it came to this challenge!  They had to stick 15 Life Savors to their partners face without them tipping their head backwards and get them to stay stuck for 10 seconds!  They blew everyone out of the water!  Great job girls!

My girls watching on!

Next, was the Alka Seltzer competition!  Each person had to place an alka seltzer in their mouth and then drink a sip of sprite and NOT SWALLOW!!!  It would then foam up like CRAZY!  Last one NOT to spit it out would win!!!  (I got this part on video)  Pres Taylor joined in on this race!  Everyone on was out and it was down to President Taylor and our very on BRITTANY!!!  GUESS WHO WON?!?!?!  YUP!!!  She actually kept it in so long that they finally told her to spit it out and declared her the winner! (President Taylor's had long since dissolved)  Check out her sweet trophy!!!

This was Tori and Garrett's FIRST DANCE!!!

Chrysta and Kirey showing them how its done!

 Angpao had a great time at HER FIRST stake dance and made LOTS of new friends!

Bro Elliott didn't let the youth have all the fun!!!
Angpao was dancing all night!
 It was Maddy's FIRST stake dance TOO!!
 So much fun!!!

Another competition they had involved whipping cream!  You had to stand an arms distance from your partner and spray the WHOLE can of cream into your partners mouth and they had to eat the whole thing!!  Sounds fun and maybe easy... until you start to giggle!!! he he!!

It was and AWESOME dance that ended with President Taylor dancing with all the youth to the "HAPPY" dance-cuz WE'RE HAPPY!!!  Well done Wills Point, Tyler 2, and Palestine!!  We all had a FABULOUS TIME!!!  See yall next month!!

PET RESCUE!!

The Pet Rescue service project was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!  The girls got all the food delivered and had so much fun playing with the animals!  Many puppies were begged to be taken home that day!!!  It was a great way to show our love for our Heavenly Father's animal creatures!

Our "EW!" Service Project

This was our AWESOME service project Sis Link came up with which was a MEALS ON WHEELS for ANIMALS!!!  We are calling it our "EW!" service project because every 5 seconds you would hear someone in the room say "EW!" after getting a whiff of the cat or dog food. (you have to say "EW!" like a certain late night tv host.)  The girls even helped Angpeo master the "EW!" with the right amount of distaste on their tongue!
She was SUPER cute!
 The girls filled 100 BAGS of dog food and cat food that Brynna helped get donated!  WAY TO GO BRYNNA!!!  Brother Links was our knight in shining armor for letting us load down his car down (literally a low rider) letting Sis Link drive his car while hers was in the shop, to carry out this activity!  I am sure his car will smell GREAT too! (#tithingpaysforairfresherners)
The Link family ROCKS!!!
This is the "BEFORE"
face (all smiles and HAPPY!!)

This is the "AFTER" face
(aka: the "EW!" FACE!!!)

Sweet Tori LOVES animals!!!

Stickers on the bags was a VERY important job!
